Surgery

The bandage is usually removed after the fifth day. Swelling and bruising that may develop on your face will disappear within two to three weeks. The sutures are removed 7-10 days after the surgery.
A temporary postoperative numbness may occur in the face. These symptoms disappear within a couple of weeks.
Normally you can be up and about within a day or two; however, you should know that you will not be able to take care of your job for at least a week.
Initially you may find strange the appearance of your face. You may be unable to make facial expressions due to the swelling in your face. Therefore, you may initially be dissatisfied with the result.
Patients usually begin to feel better as from the third week. 10-15 days may be required for you to get back to work.
If you have not any unrealistic expectations, such as getting result at early periods, the surgery has a high satisfaction rate.
